About

Makasi was raised in protest. His father was jailed for speaking. He speaks twice as loud. From Kinshasa — the city that invented political music — he deploys electric bass as a weapon, Congolese rumba guitar as history, afro-rock drums as marching orders.

Freedom is loud. His club anthems carry protest signs hidden in the bassline. Dance floor as battlefield. Club as parliament.

Archetype
Protest chant disguised as club anthem. The dance floor as battlefield. Inherited activism — his father was jailed for speaking.
